Dysprosium Metal is avaiable in various forms like ingot, powder, piece, wire, foil, sheet, rod, disc, tube, plate and etc. Grade: 99% - 99.99%
Dysprosium is a chemical element with the symbol Dy and atomic number 66. It is a rare earth element with a metallic silver lustre obtained as a by-product in the commercial extraction of yttrium.
Dysprosium is used for its high thermal neutron absorption cross-section in making control rods in nuclear reactors, for its high magnetic susceptibility in data storage applications, such as hard disks, and as a component of Terfenol-D for transducers, wide-band mechanical resonators, and high-precision liquid fuel injectors.
